02 / THE EXPLAINER

The method behind the result.

Break the plan into site groups

Use one row for sites with the same weekly rental rate and campaign duration. Record the city and format in the name. Enter the number of sites, rate per site per week and duration in weeks; fractional weeks are allowed when the supplier bills that way.

Include non-media costs

Combine production, installation, permits and other confirmed charges in the extra-cost field. Media discounts apply before extras. An optional single tax rate applies to net quoted costs, while contingency is a separate untaxed reserve calculated on the same base. Different tax treatments should be calculated with your supplier or accountant.

Do not confuse exposure with reach

Audience impressions are optional estimates covering the entire campaign. They are not unique reach or a prediction of footfall. Digital screen loop share must already be reflected in the weekly quote. Confirm site availability, permissions, visibility, illumination and production requirements before approving the worksheet.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you put your result to work.

02Can I budget digital OOH?

Yes, if the supplier provides a weekly site price that already reflects the booked loop share and schedule.

03Are impressions required?

No. They only enable an optional effective CPM calculation.

04How is contingency handled?

As an untaxed percentage reserve on net costs, shown separately from tax.

05Does the download update automatically?

No. It is an editable snapshot. Recalculate in the tool when assumptions change.
