02 / THE EXPLAINER

The method behind the result.

Decide before producing

A useful brief makes the business objective, audience and message explicit. Start with the campaign owner, desired behavior, audience barrier and supporting evidence. Avoid replacing these decisions with broad phrases such as increase engagement.

Make execution unambiguous

List formats, placements, quantities, deadlines, required claims and restrictions. Separate media budget from production costs. Name the approver and record dependencies so the team knows what must happen before launch.

Use the output as an agreement

The builder organizes what you enter; it does not generate strategy or validate claims. The first four sections are required. Unfinished sections are marked TO CONFIRM so a polished document does not hide missing decisions. Review the exported brief with stakeholders before commissioning creative work.
