Resize images with control

Set the width and height you need. Keep proportions or unlock them deliberately. Enlarging pixels does not restore lost detail.

02 / THE EXPLAINER

The method behind the result.

Resize for a real destination

Start with the dimensions required by your website, placement or document. Choose a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image, enter the width, and keep original proportions enabled to calculate the matching height. Unlock proportions only when stretching is intentional. The preview helps you review the source; the exported result has a separate preview.

Choose an output format

PNG keeps transparency and is useful for diagrams. JPEG uses a white background and adjustable quality. WebP can retain transparency with a smaller file, depending on the image. Enlarging a small image increases its pixel count, not its original detail. Check small text and edges at normal viewing size.

Limits and privacy

Processing happens in your browser, with a 20 MB input limit and 24-megapixel output limit. Animated files and unsupported formats are rejected. The browser applies image orientation, and the exported file does not retain source metadata. Changing settings clears the old download so you do not accidentally use an earlier result.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you put your result to work.

01Can I resize without stretching?

Yes. Keep original proportions selected. Changing one dimension calculates the other.

02Does enlarging improve quality?

No. The browser interpolates pixels; it cannot recover missing detail.

03Can I use a transparent image?

Yes. Choose PNG or WebP. JPEG fills transparent areas with white.

04Are images uploaded?

No. Image bytes are decoded and exported on your device.

05What does the pixel limit mean?

Width multiplied by height must not exceed 24 million, and neither side may exceed 16,384 pixels.
