Estimate a creator budget with visible assumptions
This influencer pricing calculator creates an India-focused planning range in rupees and a corresponding dollar conversion. It combines followers, engagement rate, platform, niche and an editable base price. The output is a budget scenario for one organic sponsored deliverable. It is not a verified market rate, a creator quote, an earnings forecast or a guarantee of fair compensation. Real pricing comes from a defined brief and an agreement with the creator.
There is no live pricing feed behind this tool. The starting values and multipliers are illustrative assumptions chosen to make the calculation inspectable. Replace the base rate with recent comparable quotes wherever possible. If you have no such evidence, treat the result as a conversation starter rather than a number to impose on a creator. The usefulness of the estimate depends on the assumptions, not on the precision of the displayed currency amounts.
How to use the calculator
Select the platform and the niche closest to the proposed collaboration. Enter followers or subscribers and a follower-based engagement percentage measured consistently across comparable posts. Enter a base rupee rate per thousand followers. The default ₹200 is an editable example, not a claim about current India market pricing. Enter the number of rupees per US dollar you want to use for planning; the starting ₹85 is also illustrative, not a live exchange rate.
Select Estimate budget to see the rupee range and converted dollar range. Both amounts describe the same modeled scope. The dollar output is a currency conversion of an India-focused scenario, not a separate estimate for creators serving a US audience. Copy result retains the base rate, exchange assumption and exclusions so the number is not separated from the context that produced it. Change any input and calculate again to explore another scenario.
The model, step by step
The midpoint starts with followers ÷ 1,000 × base rupee rate. It then applies a platform factor: Instagram 1.0, YouTube 2.0, TikTok 0.8 or LinkedIn 1.2. These are planning factors, not evidence that one platform is worth a fixed multiple of another. Platform availability, production format and the intended market must be checked independently. Selecting a platform does not establish that a campaign is feasible in every geography.
Next comes the niche factor: General and Lifestyle 1.0, Beauty 1.1, Technology 1.2 and Finance 1.3. The engagement factor is engagement rate ÷ 3, limited to a minimum of 0.5 and a maximum of 1.5. This cap prevents the engagement input alone from creating an extreme estimate. The final range is 75% to 125% of the midpoint. The ±25% spread is a scenario band, not a statistical confidence interval or a measured range of negotiated prices.
A worked example and its limits
For 50,000 followers, 3% engagement, Instagram, General niche and a ₹200 base, the midpoint is ₹10,000. Applying the scenario band gives ₹7,500 to ₹12,500. At the illustrative conversion of ₹85 per dollar, that is approximately $88.24 to $147.06. A different base quote or exchange assumption changes the result immediately. The example shows how the model works; it does not establish what an individual creator should charge.
Followers are only one part of value. Audience location, genuine reach, category credibility, production quality and the creator’s relationship with their community can outweigh audience size. Follower-based engagement also differs from engagement by views. Do not enter a view-based percentage and compare it with follower-based rates without acknowledging the difference. This tool does not audit fake followers, estimate audience demographics or retrieve private performance data from a platform.
Turn a scenario into a useful brief
Before asking for a quote, specify the deliverable format, quantity, production responsibilities, revision rounds and publication schedule. Confirm whether the brand wants paid usage rights, whitelisting, exclusivity, raw files or the right to repurpose the work. Those terms can materially change price and are excluded from the model, along with taxes, agency fees, travel and other expenses. A video integration and a fully produced dedicated video should not be treated as identical scope.
Collect several comparable quotes and use them to revise the base assumption. Ask for relevant performance evidence and evaluate whether the audience matches the campaign goal. Agree the reporting method and content rights in the actual collaboration process. Use the engagement calculator for a consistent input definition, and use UTM links when a measurable external destination is part of the brief. The model supports planning; the final price should reflect the creator’s proposed work and negotiated terms.
